How the singles service works

You ask the clerk for a card. That is the whole experience.

What happens after you ask

You see one price on the screen, and the card is held for you at that price from that second. It reaches the shop on our next run, which can be daily. Almost everything we carry is Near Mint, and if our price falls before you collect the card, the price guard means you pay the lower one.

How the price guard works

Our price is our own number, and no hand sets it. Software works it out from a few data points, the card's market price among them, and sets it again every hour. It has priced thousands of cards through to a sale, and those sales are what it has been corrected on.

Reserving a card locks the price on the screen. The price guard is a paid option on top of that lock: for 99 cents on a card, you stop paying the locked price and start paying whichever is lower, the lock or our price on the day, for the next 72 hours.

What we carry

192,831 copies across 36,856 card names, 736 sets and 16 games. 98.1 percent of it is Near Mint, and every card is listed with its exact grade, finish and language, specialty foil treatments named rather than lumped together.

If the shop cannot find what you are after on the screen, ask anyway. Questions reach us at service@finelux.co.
